They look so nice. Anyway did you have them sent out or do it yourself? If it has to do with paint stripping, yuk, but the finished product is beautiful.

Also the polishing aspect, without giving away secrets , whats the general process? Also, what have you done to protect them from corrosion? EDDIE

I did it all myself. Completely stripped then painted black the rough parts and polished the smooth parts.

Plain old Turtle Wax polishing compund and a few hours and voila! Then some MOTHERS polish for the final pass.

I am trying to find some Nyalic clear and then I will clear the whole wheel. Right now just the black is cleared. Until then I will be polishing on the rainy days.

My local dealership installed standard valve stems which are too long so I had to take the cap off the rear to clear the caliper until the $12 valve stem comes in. The mechanic told me I will have to pay to them replaced because they are "Custom Wheels". WTF???

I told him they are stock wheels just stripped and polished so he deferred me to the manager on monday.

Unless you actually sanded the wheel, you probably won't have to re-polish them very much. The finish under the paint is remarkably hardy.

Nyalic is called EverBrite in North America: http://www.everbrite.net/index.html

There used to be a step by step in the how to or mods section. If you can't find it send me a PM and I can take you through it. I have done three or four sets now.
