Aux Fuse Box ?'s

Hey guys,

We're out in the garage adding a bunch of goodies today, just curious where you chose to mount your aux fuse box??

Depends on the type of fuse box, I installed it here on Butch's bike.

I've seen pictures of more than a few of the larger fuse boxes being mounted near the front of the radiators (which side depending on ABS or not model).

Thanks VFRD! :D

Well, looks like it's going under the seat. I thought that would be best, but wanted to hear what most everyone else did and any thoughts they had on the subject.

The only thing that concerned me with mounting it up front would be if ever I needed to change a fuse on the fly. It would be a pain in the arse to take off the fairing just to change a fuse. Not to mention, I think it would have better protection from the elements under the seat.

As for today, here's what all I've got installed (just need to finish up some wiring) :

Heated Grips

Throttlemeister

Back Off Brake Light Module

Adjusted wiring for sockets to the rear clear tail lens

Push button garage door opener

Garmin Quest powered cradle with RAM mount

Now I'm pretty much waiting on some parts to arrive to finish all the mods.

Will post up all when I'm done!

Under the seat is the location I used too. One picture show the power from

the battery, with in-line fuse. The other shows the relay for the fuse box circut

run off of the tail light, and the fuse box location.

Found a good spot to mount a relay on 6th gens... just to the right of the 30amp fuse. Theres a bolt there that you can unscrew and mount the relay to the bolt.

I honestly found it was easier just to put an inline fuse in like 'coopers' top picture and let it go.
