Well all,

Per the advice of others, I closed the old thread and I started up a new one. We should start getting ourselves ready for the new season and decide if we want to try and plan some more things in advance, and how we might want to work out more times to get together and ride.

For those of you that don't know, I thought that I would post up a bit of what has been happening in my life. I have recently broken up with my girlfriend of three years. I am currently in the process of looking into a new house, and moving out. Right now things are getting packed and moved around in preparation for me to get out of there.

With that change, I should actually have more time to get out and ride this year. My kids will be heading to their grandparent's house for most of the summer, and any other time I wanted to get out I should have no problems (most of the time) with getting a sitter. Once I am in my new place I plan on having everyone over to hang out, talk about motorcycles and maybe char some flesh on an open fire. A few beers might even be consumed to go along with it!

Hope the new year and riding season finds everyone well, and I look forward to the new season of being able to hang with my buds.

Later,

Jeff

LOL.

Hope we didn't scare off Foolio, either, but a pic is worth a thousand words.

Right, "miss"????? As George Carlin said,..."biker a$$holes".

Now more pics!

Soon video of me filming the road. (As all are faster than me). LOL.

I love that touch, jeph,....(did I spell it right?)

And here's how you keep 2, 6th gens from knocking into each other, in a small trailer. (Another helpful concoction, with Motovation sliders).

Well, no one had anything to say, so I went out and did my own thing. Ended up heading to my friends house in my old home town and stayng over night. All in all, 7 hours on the bike, and over 300 miles.

Maybe we can try again some time, I am normally at least open to suggestions.

Later,

Jeff

Hi Gang --

Been absent for a while - busy with work travel, vacations, family stuff, boat on lake, etc (I know, violin music for sympathy...).

But, I have been keeping the bike clean and ready for a ride! Anyone up for bike night in Royal Oak on Thursday night? Perhaps a bit of a ride prior to getting there? Not sure about the upcoming weekend.

But, on a recent family trip in NW Michigan, drove hwy 22 from Manistee to Leeland. Would be a great road to hit on the bikes for a 2-day trip. Let's see if there is any way for a few of us to get 'kitchen passes' for such an event. Maybe even on a thur/fri or mon/tue to keep the weekends open?

Look forward to a ride soon!

see ya -- Jeff

Hey Everybody, I'm new around here. I'm living in Milford for the summer and I just got a 99 VFR800 on 6/30/07. I've put about 1600 miles on it so far and I really like it. I'm riding up to Houghton Lake this weekend. Hopefully I can meet up with a couple of you sometime.

Welcome to the group! These are great guys and know their stuff.

On a Side note... Anyone interested in riding this thursday down in Royal Joke?!!! I am currently installing my frame sliders from motovation. Turns out the dealer sold me a California model!!! So I have all this extra Emissions Crap on it :pissed: So installing my right side sliders is going to be as complicated as installing my left side!!! I was up till 1 am last night #$$%^% with it.

Guys...sheesh...I've been out of touch...23 pages of new posts when I signed in this evening.

What's going on with me? Well, plenty. Child #3 was born on June 18th and we basically haven't stopped since. It's been a constant cavalcade of people coming over to see the baby, plus working 4 days for my father in law, then working two weekends for my buddy Vince and his landscaping company, plus some travel for work, all the while trying to adjust to the new zone defense at home...needless to say, the bike hasn't been out much this summer.

Now we're selling our house so I have a number of honey-do's on the list yet to get done. We are staying in Michigan, but will likely move south or southwest...out of Oakland county...hopefully to somewhere like Saline or Brighton or Pinckney...so you aren't going to get rid of me that easily. If you know of anyone looking for a nice ranch, in tip top shape, in White Lake Twp please let me know. We totally remodeled the house this year (Rivcyko has seen it) so it's in about as good a shape as it'll be in. I could start a whole new thread on the upkeep and maintenance I've done on it...

August is a total wash out for me. I'm working two weekends down at MIS, plus 10 days on vacation, plus I'm getting snipped...yes I will be singing soprano as of August 10th. Not much bikey bikey for Lobster.

Anyway, that's the update. Wish I could ride more. I'll try to keep in touch. Enjoy the rest of your summer.

Moving further South! Woo hoo!

I haven't been out much either and I don't have a new baby so don't feel bad. Life happens.

Does your doctor offer bulk deals?

Well, how'd they come out? Got some trim, for the hole, if you need it. (That didn't sound right). :joystick:

Beautiful home. You guys should see the fireplace, in the living room. LOL. And the door stoppers, are the coolest, I've ever seen! LOL.

??????????????????? Give Weasel a chance to try out the new cam.??

Got A DVD, from Poncho today.

A full weekend, here. Next weekend's Mid-Ohio, boys!

Got caught in the worst hail storm, I have honesly seen in my life, last night. Do'n 70 on 23N. Rain, bigger rain, small hail, (As I am slowing to a crawl, very quickly), road flooded at least 4", Hail is now quarter sized some as large as golf balls. (I s#!t you, not), At this point, off at Willis rd. E., as soon as I turn, get it up to the max speed of 5 mph, (both feet out, as the road levels, the water is deeper, [8"] and I driving on a layer of flowing marbles), I feel something brush my back and back of the bike. I stop, slowly. Look back. A tree had fallen across about 85% of the road. Now puckered and freezing, I find my way another 1/8 mi. to cover of a gas station awning. Had a small restore of faith in humanity, as 2 folks offered to let me sit in there cars. God bless 'em. I Politely and respectfully declind. As it was appreciated, but I was already soaked, and they were prolly going to have mold problems with there seats, forever more, had I accepted. LOL.

Holy sh!t Trav! Falling trees! That's something we haven't discussed on here before! And 8" of water on the road! I hit one deep puddle like that (broken water main in the dark) ONCE and had to surgically remove my Sargent. Glad you came out alright though. So how do you like the Corsa IIIs in the wet?

Yes, I will be riding at some point. I know for sure I'm taking the CRF out to the trails Saturday afternoon with Davis for a couple hours but Sunday I need to exercise the VFR. I'd like to stay around home if possible but maybe I can sweet talk the wifey poo.

Trav...any chance you have access to some weather reports before you leave the house? I'm quite sure they have that technology now down in Ypsitucky...

Three kids + five jobs = bike under the cover. (I know, I know, I know...insert pity party here.)

Life has been crazy and will likely continue to be the rest of the summer. Maybe I can get out with you guys one afternoon in September...I hope.

Ha... I was just in that area 2.5 weeks ago, West Bend, WI to be exact for the 07' BMW rally. We then drove through Oshkosk on our way to Marquette, MI. Anyway, I heard of two single engine stunt pilots crashing up there... was it while you were there? Just curious?

Actually there were a couple of crashes, 2 P-51's crashed on a formation landing killing one of them and another plane crashed the first day at a near by airport...don't know if it was a student or not. Engine probs.
