Gutting 6th Gen Exhaust - The Easy Way.

Recommended Posts

That's awesome Rice! I picked up an 03 VFR800 a few months ago, and immediately knew I had to change the stock sound. I've been looking at aftermarket exhausts, and gutting the stocker. I think that mod is over my head, to be honest with you. I'm in southern NH. Anyone with the capability willing to do it? I'll pay, of course. Thanks.

Stop here! Clean out the shavings and put the pipes back on the bike. DO NOT WELD THE END CAPS BACK ON! Put the heat sheilds back on both the sides and ends without the end caps. It will look stock.... I will sound.... BAD @SS! Anyone who heard the RedNeck Express knows of that which I speak.

Well I started this task at approx. 6pm EST... I got one side done by 9:30pm.... this shit is not easy!!! The welds inside are a PITA to break loose. However with one side out the sound is OMG!!! It sounds awesome!!
