White 06 With Black 07 Wheels; Black Radiator?

I have a white 06 and will be getting the wheels (stock are silver) swapped with an 07 (dark grey wheels from the anniversary model) - curious if anyone else has already made a switch to black or dark grey wheels on the white 06? Also, will be painting the radiators black. Anyone have experience and/or pictures of this? :offtopic:

I think white with black wheels (and carbon fibre canisters) would look terrific, and black rads would set it off nicely.

Try sending a PM to Ryan (Shalliesw606). He has a white 06 and I have an asphalt 04 that came with black rims. We swapped rims shortly after the VFRD Fall Dragon Ride, so I now have his silver rims and he's riding with my black ones. He may have a photo...definitely a terrific combination.

Thanks for the pix....however, the black wheels were nixed by my interior designer wife - also, lost my bright yellow truck the same day and now have a beige thing...rough weekend on my color choices :mellow: - however, did gain more leverage points for the new B-King in August, so it was a pick your battles thing :biggrin:

Hey Fellas,

Just got my bike back after 5 LOOOOONG weeks. Cant say I am the happiest camper in the world, but there is nothing like the feeling of getting back on my two wheels. Well here goes. Tell me what you guys think!

I definately am going to take it back to the shop to add some decal or pin striping or accent work done. Man I am sooo pissed right now....my temp guage isnt working, and my turn signals are out too!! I had the guys install my stebel air horn, MAN...I love this thing, except I only got it to honk twice before it zapped my horn, lights, and who knows. AGHHHHH!!!! Also I will try to get some more pics up, but the corbin seat is now wrapped in faux orstrich skin. Have to say it looks and feels real close.

P.S. Hopefully Ms. Santa-baby will leave me a set of exhaust cans, some nice wheels, some springs, xenon headlights, new LED dash, navigation, alright I will quit dreaming. :schla15:

Thanks....yeah its still a work in progress. I really like the 2007 black frame and accents. Its looks sweet. Might have to consider that the next option. Take everything I can apart and get it powdercoated to a black chrome??

Very very nice. I'd be inclined to go for subtle decal/graphics - maybe a silver Wing on the tank and 'HONDA' in silver on the bellypan.

'06 clear lenses would set off the monochrome look nicely.

It might also look good with white rimstickers, or white lettering on the tyres.

Oh, and it needs a BugBuster[tm] of course! : )

Yes yes....its acutally called a brilliant white with silver metallic paint. I plan on putting the clear screen back on, the bug buster is getting painted along with a helmet. I was a little disappointed at first, but its really starting to grow on me. I look forward to sharing more pics when I get more done to it.
