Theunis
Can anyone help me, my 8th gen vfr800f got after a short drive "water" in the sump oil (white greasy compound) the Bike never overheated and the cooling system level is still on its mark? Max temperature it got to was 73deg Celsius. Please help me understand this. I don't know where to start except draining the oil. But where could it come from? Member Contributer Terry Posted May 20, 2023 Member Contributer Share Posted May 20, 2023 Short drives don't heat the oil enough to drive out any condensation. The combustion process of burning fuel generates water as a by product and some of that enters the crankcase. Check again after the bike has had a decently long run where it has been up to operating temps for 30 or more minutes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-21MwnRHvl8&t=142s

SEBSPEED
Warm it up to full temp and it will clear up. If you want to see this phenomenon "on a big screen", let me make you a windowed clutch cover. Lol 1
Member Contributer fink Posted May 28, 2023 Member Contributer Share Posted May 28, 2023 Take it out for a long run so the engine can heat up properly and burn off the condensation.
Morados
Yeah I got the same after I custom made a clutchcover window, its normal and will go away when engine gets hot enough to drive away the condensation Edited December 25, 2023 by Morados
