Member Contributer bmart Posted January 17, 2023 Member Contributer Share Posted January 17, 2023 Sad. If only there was a way to know something like this could happen... We see it on the BRP from time to time also.
TimC
What a shame. My wife and I are planning a West Coast trip for later this year, to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary (which is next Monday). We're planning to rent a convertible and drive Highway 1 at least one day we're there. Hopefully it will be clear of landslides during our visit. thepretender
Been raining like hell since xmas but looks like we will have a break for at least a couple of weeks. It will take some time to clean things up though.
Member Contributer RC1237V Posted January 18, 2023 Author Member Contributer Share Posted January 18, 2023 Much of Highway 1 is literally built on the cliffs of the ocean, it was and is always going to be a battle to keep it open. If you're there on a good day, not much else even comes close!
