SFD214 Posted July 9, 2022 Share Posted July 9, 2022 After about an hour plus of riding and everything heating up the bike acts as if 5K RPM is a rev limit and cuts power until under 5K and bucks hitting that “limiter”. Tac peg drops then shoots up to 5K in every gear until I shut the bike off and let it sit for 20 min plus. Bike has Rapidbike race, flapper mod, muffler delete/ short pipe off CAT. Rebooting by restarting solved it, hasn't come back. If you Google around there are some reports of this particularly hitting Ducatis and RB has issued different firmware fixes. I have only seen it once in a year or so, so not concerned. Yours sounds heat related though. Mine was not at all. Where did you mount your RB, and are the harness junctions away from very high heat?
