AdamC
Hi all I have found that the right side cooler pipe is leaking from the rubber connecting piece. The offending rubber feels loose. Does anyone know if it's as easy as getting correct diameter piece of hose and switching it out? Or do I have to source a whole new pipe?
Member Contributer Cogswell Posted May 17, 2022 Member Contributer Share Posted May 17, 2022 Mohawk I believe posted a thread some years ago about replacing those with braided steel hose. Mite check that out. If you're thinking of using bare rubber hose, it will be vulnerable to debris entering. Don't forget the pressure those lines are subjected to, even a small cut could result in a gigantic mess and loss of oil pressure.
AdamC
You have a good point, after I posted I re-looked and realised it's all hard pipe with rubber sleeves. And after struggling to find any replacements except new old stock @ £207 each. Found Mohawks post and ordered all AN fittings and braided hose and a second hand oil cooler.
