Backward compatibility with 4th/5th/6th Gen rear wheels?

98 and later do not have the notches to clear the rotor bolts.  You either have to machine some notches or use a BMW rotor bolt that is low profile.

If that's what you're asking.

Also the 94 - 97 rear wheel is 5.0".  98 and later are 5.5"

The link below has an in depth discussion from 2009 about SSS wheel fitment.  Regardless, 2nd gens' double sided swingarms are not going to be compatible with the SSS rear wheels from 1990 on.  Is there more to the story - maybe swingarm swap or something?

Sorry, got my gens mixed up — I've corrected the original post. I'm asking about fitment backwards to the 3d-gen.
