Member Contributer stuartb3502 Posted April 3, 2022 Member Contributer Share Posted April 3, 2022 Hi - my lower fairings have been off a long time and my memory of what goes where is no longer, erm, complete 🙂 I think I'm mostly there, but question myself on the two fastenings highlighted. Pretty sure that the upper one of these two is the usual T type clip (or replacement) as it just links to the grey piece which goes around the instruments. Is the lower one also a clip? It fastens to the circled hole on the fairing. Neither of these on mine have rubber well nuts here so I'm guessing its a clip also. Wanted to check as I the fiche is not very specific and the numbers of each part did not add up as far as I could tell. Thanks.

trmoyer
I have a couple spots in there where getting things to line up just right for the clips to hold and use zip ties. No matter how hard I tried at lining things up and tweaking things the clips wouldn’t hold well. There’s always options.
Member Contributer stuartb3502 Posted April 4, 2022 Author Member Contributer Share Posted April 4, 2022 Yes, can be tricky. I've done before but still took a couple of goes. Nice to have the bike whole again for first time in a long time. Just need weather to turn around again now ☺️
Member Contributer Dangeruss Posted April 4, 2022 Member Contributer Share Posted April 4, 2022 I like to keep about a dozen of those clips on hand new, once they take a set they are hard to get in. Pushing them in to pull them out took a bit of getting used to but not reusing bad ones is the best bet.
