Polyian
This may have been beaten to death over the years but I am new so please indulge me. I need to extend my mirrors on my 1990 750 and I am having difficulty finding extenders for bike year. Anyone know if other years mirrors are are a compatible fit? Or does anyone know where I might buy some extenders for the Gen3? Thanks for any assistance.
Member Contributer Captain 80s Posted March 30, 2022 Member Contributer Share Posted March 30, 2022 If they make extenders for 2001 style mirrors, the bolt pattern is the same. Additionally those mirrors are MUCH better looking.

Interesting...so mirrors for the 98-01 VFR800 will fit, in that case the extenders I see online should also fit...or maybe better to just buy longer mirrors, I hear the Emco mirrors are longer. The extenders add 1", anyone know how much length an Emco mirror adds? THanks for that info on the year compatibility
Member Contributer Captain 80s Posted March 30, 2022 Member Contributer Share Posted March 30, 2022 I have Emgo 2001 style mirrors on my 1995 and I like them a lot, they MIGHT be slightly longer? Maybe a better angle? My 95 original mirrors are going on a 1990 I am working on. I never really concentrate on mirror lengths as anything that is actually useful I don't like the look. EXCEPT my ST1100. Best mirrors ever.
Member Contributer Tirso Posted March 30, 2022 Member Contributer Share Posted March 30, 2022 Two left side examples of 5th Gen Mirrors on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/s?k=vfr800&rh=n%3A19389655011 Note base on both mirrors. '02-'09 longer I've been using the '00-'01 mirrors on my '99 for three years and are still perfect. You can also use extenders https://www.amazon.com/Mirror-Extenders-Honda-VFR800-XL125V/dp/B07MBBT712
Member Contributer Captain 80s Posted March 30, 2022 Member Contributer Share Posted March 30, 2022 Yes 00/01 is what I have. Great looking mirror. So nice to ditch the rubber boot. Pretty sure 02- have a different bolt pattern?
