They are supposed to last around 100,000kms, but try to tell that to your friendly Honda service guy.

Have a set removed at 70,000+k's the gap is still well in tolerance, and electrodes and insulators still look healthy.

Think you'll find NGK specify a life of 100,000miles not K's.

Sadly they're not the type specified for the Crossrunner or 1200 so I shall have to give them a miss but any 6th Gen or Mk1 Crossrunner owners should get in there quick.

I wonder if these are genuine NGK plugs or fakes. 🤔

Hmm good point V4. NGK have certainly been hit by fake imitations.

Just did a search on "non genuine ngk spark plugs" its all out there!

It's unfortunate that some online platforms such as Amazon and ebay are not better policing many of their vendors adequately to keep counterfeit goods off their sites. Disposable batteries seem to be especially prone to that.  I would think a vendor with their own site such as in this case would take more care not to tarnish their reputation with fake goods.  They could just be closing out that item and clearing stock.  It's definitely gotten more difficult online to tell what's what with name brand goods.

I'd be very surprised. Halfords are a very large, national brand.

I tried.

Website would only let me buy a max of 2 so I bought 2 from 2 different nearby stores.

Got a phone call an hour or so later "sorry, we're out of stock in all branches".

🤬

I would have happily posted them to you for that kind of saving. Maybe next time.

Thanks Skids - I managed to get 4 at Halfords in Bournemouth - that's all they had unfortunately, otherwise I'd have bought all they had and offered them to the forum at the price I paid.

Glad someone got something from it. 👍

It gets even better. Halfords just emailed me a £5 voucher against my next order for setting up my account with them and placing my first order. So they've effectively paid me £1 for taking £50 of spark plugs off their hands. Remarkable.

I owe you a beer Skids !

However I should own up and say I got it from the Crossrunner forum.
