Thanks for the videos! So many great roads "nearby" to Charlotte. Is that what a typical ride looks like? We pretty rode alone every day. No one wanted to ride with us! 😢

You were gone before I even got a chance to talk to you guys. A lot of us only see each other at these events so there is a lot of chatter. I didn't do as good of a job including the newcomers as I should have. If the crowd is this big next year, we may have to make more groups. We kind of quit organizing anything a few years back because everybody sort of had a group. Join us in Little Switzerland for the FallRide. I'll make it a point to get to know you.

LOL, careful what you wish for Bsmart, not all us are house broken, or safe for mixed company.  Well, speaking for myself at least.

The Fall Ride is at an exceptionally good socializing location.  If you happen to show up, you will be roundly welcomed, probably.  (bring booze, I've found they like that)

Thank you! Sadly, I'm a strong opponent of drinking and motorcycling. I get that folks like to enjoy it at an event like this, but I feel the same about track days. Seems like an unnecessary risk to add to people you care about... Sorry!

The riding PRECEDES the drinking.....

Fair enough,

some of us appear drunk while stone cold sober......

If any of you NC peeps are around and want to ride, I’m staying in Sylva.

I had a series of events collude and am without a job or roof over my head. The hurricane was the final straw, so I packed my stuff and am headed back to IL. Decided to stop in NC to enjoy myself, a few days.

Sorry for taking so long but I had another trip to make. It was a weird year. Perfect weather but we ended up with eight riders and no VFR's.

I had to ride up for the ride this year because of the @MiniCarver wedding. Packing for ten days on a motorcycle is a lot tougher than four.

The plan was to ride to Knoxville and meet TheGirl on Thursday morning for the ride to Little Switzerland. I chose a lovely Motel6 for my accommodations on Wednesday night.

I realized that I had packed my walking shoes in the bag my wife was bringing for the wedding. Had to run to Walmart. I had hoped to find some cool yoga shoes like Jay wears but instead found a pair of size 13 WHAT ARE THOSE!

Finished the day with a great meal.

Thursday morning, I met Donna and we rode out to meet Curt for the trip in. No pics?

Friday morning started with a flat tire on the fancy Italian's rear loafer. It looked like someone at the hotel had been doing maintenance under the carport.

Again, no pics for the day. I shot tons of video but haven't had time to edit. Saturday, we had a visit from long time friend of VFRD Ken who took some of us on his top secret local roads tour.

The Italian super models prefer to sun bathe at the lunch stop while the Tigger prefers to rest in the shade.

Ben made a return to the group after buying back his Tiger1050. Here he is making a beer run.

We had a visit from our buddy Klim. He and Jay are pretty tight.

After four days of riding, it was time for new loafers. He has spares mounted in the trunk.

Donna couldn't be bothered with parking her bike. When we came back from dinner, some old drunk guy had moved it.

Aaron joined us that evening and rode with us a couple of days.

We loaded up to prepare for meeting Steve on his WR250sm.

A short time later, my tire had feathers.

We've had many discussions about a VFRD track day. Not sure how many VFR's would make it but the group has plenty of interest.

They could ride anything! We did this for the CB-1 group years ago and it was a hoot.

I would love to do a track day with the VFR and the group, unfortunately, since  I am located in CT, there is nothing close by.

My last track day was many, many moons ago on the Nürburgring in Germany.

There are a ton of tracks close by to CT.

https://www.nhms.com/

https://www.palmermotorsportspark.com/

http://www.canaanmotorclub.com/the-track

Even more if you spread west into PA (best track ever) or OH, or south in NY/NJ.

Winter blues are already setting in. I found some lost files from October. Maybe it will help some others while we are not riding.

Same here on the winter blues.  I was really hoping for some very late season riding, but the weather has not cooperated.  And when it was mild enough to ride a couple days recently I was busy with other things.  There might be a couple decent days left here in NE Ohio this month, but at this point I'm better off winterizing the bike and shopping for any mods and accessories I want or need for next year.  😕

Thanks for posting the great photos and videos, @Sweeper !!

I just got word from Kimball that his Tiger660 has now become a new Tuono. I guess the bike swap in October sold him. There will be no keeping up with those guys anymore!

Heheheh. (rubbing hands maniacly)  Bringing it back around to to V4s again.
