Any issue with using a 4th Gen Rear wheel?

I got a flat tire on my trip last week, and do not have time to get another prior to this weekend, and I know that you can't fit a 5th on a 4th without a little dremel work But I am assuming that there is no issue with putting the 4th gen rear on a 5th. Am I correct? Since I have retired my 4th Gen, I can swap wheels and still take off for the 3 day weekend if there are no issues.

Thanks,

Gary

No issues fitting it to the mating surface and lug nut spacing is the same. Although I believe the factory tyre is a 170, I believe you can spoon a 180 on there, just check clearances and legalities.

Tire is toasted, and since I rode on it while flat I am sure it has compromised the sidewalls....otherwise I definitely would!!

I had a front flat and rode on it. The mechanic said bikes tires have thicker sidewalls than car tires and it would probably be OK,

They unmounted and fixed and it was fine for many more miles. So, you might inspect it closely.
