Member Contributer V-FORE Posted August 29, 2016 Member Contributer Share Posted August 29, 2016 I got a flat tire on my trip last week, and do not have time to get another prior to this weekend, and I know that you can't fit a 5th on a 4th without a little dremel work But I am assuming that there is no issue with putting the 4th gen rear on a 5th. Am I correct? Since I have retired my 4th Gen, I can swap wheels and still take off for the 3 day weekend if there are no issues. The mechanic said bikes tires have thicker sidewalls than car tires and it would probably be OK, They unmounted and fixed and it was fine for many more miles. So, you might inspect it closely.
