Keny aptly name my VF500F2 "Puma".......................

Yesterday she rode with 29 younger ones............

VFR's that is :goofy:

A -retired- member on the Dutch forum offers maintenance on VFR's and as such has a "customer base" he invites for an annual tour.

A good 150km to get to the start (and back home) plus a 200km tour made for a nice long ride to run in my new YSS.

Night and day......  although today I adjusted the rebound I a bit (4 clicks)  to make the initial "hit" over sleeping policemen just a bit more compliant.

We rode in 4 groups, me in the last one to leave.....  at the back.

I prefer riding at the back of groups anyway as not to have -someone I donot know his/her skill level) on my tail.

and indeed, I witnessed the occasional "interesting" overtaking manouvre or cornering...

One guy (1 year riding experience) kinda misjudged the cyclists in front of him and oncoming traffic (we rode a lot on relatively narrow dikes) so he slammed the brakes. The guy following him (too close)  luckily had ABS for it was a full on emergency brake, with him diving in on the inside, his mirror hitting the other guys's elbow....

Whilst my puma is a feisty one, she doesnot have the grunt of the guys so she had to rev/scream a lot, coming out of corner and accellerating! :wheel:

But what a joy, 10krpm plus!  We did ride at a fair pace outside towns, another advantage of ridng at the back....  plenty warning for radar gun yielding cops. There were none.

Average 18km on one litre.

Ok some pictures!

If it ain't -completely- broken, do not fix it...

Keny experienced fueling problems riding to Finland; the vacuum line to the fuel tab.  On mine, this tube was poreous as well so I put on a new one.

this one with quite thin and I could see it "sucked" flat. BUT it worked and I should of course have left it (I need to do a service on the fuel petcock anyway cos off is not off...)

Anyway, on saturday I got a piece of proper, sturdy vacuum line and fitted that. All good and dandy, riding on backroads.

But as I rode motorway yesterday morning (racing in front of lightining and thunder), she'd starve at 120kmh... WTF?!?

Good thing I had not chucked the old piece....

:cheerleader:

Turned out I was not the only "fueler".....

VROEMBERT's RC24 had to give some juice to a 3rd gen that has his fuel tab wires crossed....
