The Dutch VFR forum/club organises days for Viffers to meet and provide space to wrench.

Some 45 showed up, so one could put a face to a screen name.

The club's president teaches at a technical college and has keys to the door...

Work and talk, redslut drew some attention to her mods...

New to VFR, her 4th gen snapped and alternator cover bolts while she wanted to replace the alternator...  some expert hands at hand to adress the problem

Speaking of expert hands.......

"Hello Kitty" at work? :goofy:

Got a nice surprse today, one member -who drove up in his white van- had his gopro running in the morning.

The voice over is from a dutch TV prgramme that show video shot by unmarked police cars... comments like "high speed devils, making off in the distance, antics"

Things I saw people work on (probably missed half)

FZ6 forks rebuild
Brake calipers servicing
Setting steering straight
Dual Fiamms
Broken bolt, lots of tapping since nothing there to grip.

Redslut got new plugs, could not remember when I changed them last.
To gain front access, you have to be a bit forceful and creative...

Methink they were due...

Lastly did a "BR style" quick front fork oil change.
Put in Motul 7.5W.

Today took her out to set front and rear shock, found settings I liked.

Nice work space. :491:

Hello Kitty must have been just getting started, those hands were way too clean.

Can't imagine she would have trouble getting help with her bike from some of the guys.

Manicured nicely too...to match her VFR.....

A bit of an overkill with the ratchet wrench and extension just to remove the fairing bolt there....

I think Dutchy should really have stepped in immediately and show her how it's done with a simple allen wrench.......

To please your wife, just put the bike up for sale.

"motorcycle for sale. Price fixed at euro 50,000"

She happy it is up for sale

You happy it never will.....

Just came back from the 1st sleuteldag in 2015

Some serious rain in the morning, so attendance was a bit low this year but I reckon at least 15 turned up.

Either just to shoot the breeze, drink coffee, eat a burger or indeed do a little wrenching...

Don't need money if you have plenty stuff...

we had some fun,we helped one person to service his brakes the right way, i put an exhaustgas analyzer on Dutchy's bike, to see it drinks more gas at high revvs than a Humvee.

(I think Dutchy does this on purpose, because a policeman in hot pursuit will fall asleep from al those poisoned exhaust gasses :goofy: )

And had a look at a 800fi idling rough. We think the wax element needs to be replaced.

And of course we talked a lot and swallowed some hamburgers. :cheerleader:
