umm, dumb question, maybe ... the 8 spoke wheel is very nice, and like most I too want one. BUT, is there such a thing as an 8 spoke front rim ? I don't think I have ever seen one ... Are the 8 spoke rear rims very difficulty to obtain, or perhaps relatively available. How much $$ does one usually fetch. TIA

In the demo the author used Malt Vinegar ... I wonder if Cider Vinegar or Regular Vinegar will achieve similar results? Vinegar is basically Acetic Acid in solution, the percentage may influence results. The demo certainly makes it look like vinegar is an effective rust remover. A commercial equivelant would be something like Rust-Mort. It converts the rust into an iron like hard coating using Phosphoric Acid. Rust-Mort available to Purchase here. Safety info on a Data Sheet here. Rust-Mort works well enough, but the vinegar makes the product look like new.

The mod looks to be rather straight-forward and well within the skills of most riders. And the explanation about voltages also makes sense, but I do have a question ... where is the voltage actually being measured that determines if there is a problem? I will check my own 03 and I am assuming I should measure voltage between the black wire and ground ? Or can I simply monitor the voltage showing at the battery terminals, the R/R output or maybe some other point ? Resistance buildup in the wiring harness would suggest inadequate protection from corrossion and oxidization. I am a little puzzled though as my 28 year old Honda CBX does not seem to be suffering this problem. Is the problem perhaps aggravated by age or is it more an issue of use in nasty conditions? I never ride my bikes in the rain and they are stored in a dry garage, should I be particularly concerned ?
