2024 Spring Ride Official Post. We shall be holding forth from Franklin, NC once again this year. The dates are May 16-19th and lodging at the Rodeway Inn, https://maps.app.goo.gl/zKsEQjNkrWFJZ1xD7. I don’t have any special rates to speak of at the moment. Donna spoke to someone when she booked her room and they said to go ahead and book and we’ll sort any special pricing out when we arrive. There is something going on in town those dates so book A.S.A.P. I believe, and someone correct me if I’m mistaken, but I believe this is our 20th TMAC. Last year should have marked the 20th, but the cancellation of the 2020 ride negated that. Can’t wait to see y’all there!

Facebook can be a blessing and curse. Depending on how you use it. Like it or not, it’s a place that we can keep VFRD alive. I’m not ready to let go of this awesomeness yet.

The spring and fall rides will continue. There’s a thread for the fall ride, as for the spring ride, we will be returning to Franklin NC in 2024. Keep an eye on the Facebook group for more info,

I stayed there and it’s a very nice little independent place. Rooms have been updated and I think it’ll be a good spot for us.

The Fall Ride dates are Sept. 21-24. After looking at several different locations and accommodations I've settled on Abingdon, VA. I based this on the variety of roads in the area and restaurants. I'm still working on the hotel, (I'm going to take a ride up and scout a couple out), but I wanted to go ahead and put the dates out so y'all can plan accordingly. Stay tuned......

We’ll be rolling in hopefully around 4-ish tomorrow. Leaving @ 9 am and taking the long way west.

Be aware that starting today, May 1 they are shutting down sections of the parkway for paving. Detours are supposed to be in place but just a heads up for you.

I sprayed the back of my stock one gloss black. Looking at it from the front it looks great. If you do go the paint route, paint the back side.
