  1. if the coolant level falls too far below the temp sensor the reading will not be correct. best to check under the rad cap cuz overflow bottle level could be misleading
  2. the same thing appeared on a vfr i bought a few years ago, something proper maintenance would prevent.
  3. what would you be willing to pay for a good used oem cover ?

up to around $150 is what id expect to pay if i found one, due to rarity and dshort production run.

    1. tsmitty

I'm expecting to pay every bit of that too squirrel. but the viffers look so fucking sweet with that little piece of plastic!

  5. OK but this guy was seriously WRONG to spraypaint inside the engine cases, which the honda factory did not do.
  6. a full list of discontinued parts would scare you. 😂 used parts are nearly the only parts in the future.
  7. put a sock [or plastic bags] in it.....the exhaust pipe end.
  8. ^^ allballs uses the cheapest, worst bearing,s not good for wheel bearings as they will fail quickly..........unless you dont ride the bike. failures were noted on other bike forums. quality bearings come from USA, germany, japan, sweden ONLY
  9. not so messy as u might guess if you let the filter sit for 5 minutes before mounting it. no race engine builder would fail to pre-fill. the idea of running for a few seconds with zero oil pressure scares the crap outta me, and when working in a professional shop, i did hear rod knocks before pressure built up.
  10. this rider gets extra points for pre-filling the oil filter, something i've always done on both bikes and cars.
  11. no, i don't believe that. gravity feed is a very poor option, and problems arise when fuel in tank is below half full. the chinese r/r i recently tried crapped out after just 60 miles !
  12. oh yeah, that chinese pump won't last long cuz it's just trash like 90%% of commie junk. always test pump by jumping the relay as relays fail more often than pumps. some locked up pumps can be revived by grasping the top of the plunger with pliers and pulling it up.
  13. the subframes that the gauges mount to are different '86 to '87.
