  1. Ahh yes, it all makes sense now... :P Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I'm not convinced there's anything worse about this years Honda bike than last years. Marquez choose the wrong tire in Qatar. He was fast in Argentina, but crashed. I like Pedrosa but he's been slow most races for the past couple years (I think he's just in decline). If Marquez doesn't crash anymore, he should still be able to fight for 1st place.
  3. Hmm... I was expecting something different from the MotoPumps riser. Has anyone had their hands on both and can tell if there's any difference between Helibar and Motopumps risers?
  4. I use Abus Granit Detecto X-Plus 8077 Alarm Disc Lock. It's not too sensitive. Loud noise doesn't set it off - requires bike to be bumped. It isn't particularly loud, but is a nice deterrent. I've only used it for one season so far. No issues. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Looks like the difference is the bar on the inside for the quick shifter reduces how far in the foot can move. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Great pics! Later this year I plan on doing my first track day ever and it'll be on my 8th gen VFR800 :)
  7. The closest competitor to the Ducati Supersport is the Suzuki GSX-S1000F. VFR800 is clearly a step down in power, weight, and cost. Suzuki stats: 459 lb, $11k, 135 hp, 75 lb-torque. Ducati stats: 462 lb, $13k-15k, 113 hp, about 75 lb-torque. They look similar. Suzuki is definitely better value. Ducati looks better. I hope a motorcycle magazine does a comparison between the Suzuki and Ducati.
  8. 8th gen looks better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I've been using audio GPS from phone for years. This year I'll try using the ram mount with my phone for visual GPS. I'll probably only use this for longer trips. I like that my eyes are always on the road when I use audio, but I tend to miss turns when in unfamiliar areas or the directions get more complicated. In Google Maps app I download the maps for where I live and the path I'll be traveling in trips. Saves a lot of data costs. I'll probably use a portable Bluetooth receiver to get the sound from the mounted phone to the wired helmet speakers I use. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I don't like the headlight... I think 8th gen looks better :p Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Does the bike run cooler with the Power Commander? Which map did you use? On the power commander website it only lists stock exhaust/stock air filter, arrow slip-on/stock air filter, and arrow slip-on (db killer removed)/stock air filter. I assume the Arrow is basically the same as any other aftermarket exhaust - is that true?
  12. From other forums I've read Indian was out selling Victory by a factor of five. Victory sales have been in deliberate since 2012. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Here's a YouTube vid from the manufacturer. With the baffle in its about the same volume as stock but slightly lower volume. I haven't tried baffle out Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Carbon fiber baby! I have the one from Scorpion. https://flic.kr/p/LaAKyz Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I don't know what he's saying but both bikes look great. I love that they are continuing the 8th gen :) They need to bring the cross runner to the US - one of the best looking adventure bikes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
