  1. You can do whatever you want. But I can tell you you don't need either. Bike runs cool as it is.
  2. Go to Wal-Mart for your oil related needs. Oil is always about 30% cheaper, and purolator filters are $3. It's just the sad truth.
  3. Do you know how warm it runs when operating? Does the fan kick on? Thermostat work? I ask this because oil in a water-cooled engine is not so much a player on temp control as an air/oil cooled one, and the front-mounted radiator VFR's run notoriously cool, so a big oil cooler is not only not needed, but some completely get rid of it. If you are running cool operating temps (165-195) most of the time, I say nay.
  4. They only state they work on the 5th gen, but they looked very good on my 4th gen as well. Now they are on my 6th and yes, it's not perfect, but still looks operator.
  5. Ethanol, after its all added up, has no cost/performance/emissions/mileage advantage over straight gas. Unless your running forced induction, but that's a serperate subject. I use a splash of StarTron in ever fill up. Low end is now much smoother and the bike runs great. Highly recommend.
