I should note that from St Mary west to Logan Pass, pictured behind the VFR, there was 9 + miles of road work - enough that TKC80 would be a better tire choice ;-) Dunno if they'll finish before winter closure.

The clouds look threatening but by West Glacier the sun had reappeared.

More to comeā€¦

Sure enuf.. one of the better bits of scenery in the PNW..loved the ride on Going TTS, but I ended up up in the RV train, moving at a snails pace for a long part of the trip...lesson learned.."pick your days in off season to avoid the blue haired cage driver pulling 30ft fifth wheels"

Great pic, how did you keep the bike so clean on that ride and what is that petrol-coloured sheen from the windshield? A camera trick?

Thanks, fabio. I think the white colour hides a lot of the dirt, but look closely at the wheels. That said, I carry a can of Honda Spray Wax, or similar, and dust it at day's end.

The rainbow colour on the windshield is intensified because I had a polarizing filter on my camera. You can see the same effect on lots of clear plastic, like the small rules from your school days.
