Member Contributer JZH Posted December 13, 2017 Member Contributer Share Posted December 13, 2017 Do you have a voltmeter? If the battery is dead, the bike possibly stopped when it ran out of juice, which can happen due to a charging fault, such as a dead reg/rec, stator or a fried connector somewhere in that circuit. The headlight should still work when the side stand or clutch interlocks kick in. You could look at the main fuse (under the seat) or the ignition switch contacts, but any failure there should also have taken out the indicators. A dead battery could still have enough juice to power the indicators, but little else. It is a VFR750, after all... Ciao,
Member Contributer airwalk Posted December 13, 2017 Member Contributer Share Posted December 13, 2017 Try looking for a loose connection, + or - side of batt, both ends of each heavy(thick) wire..
squirrelman
Practical test of battery strength==short across the large solenoid terminals whether the ignition /starting system is working or not.
