oldred95
I had a thought. In the ATV world installing a crankshaft degree key is pretty common practice to rotate the flywheel in relation to the crankshaft which effectively advances the timing. There are keys available ranging from 2 to 10 degrees advanced. I have a Kawasaki KFX 700 v twin and its said that a 10 degree key and premium fuel is ideal for a stock internal engine. That being said I did a google search and nothing came up relating to installing a degree key in a VFR. It seems like it would work but I thought I would ask and see. We all know the VFR has some very lazy ignition timing and I'm thinking a 6 degree key and a tankful of premium would be a good starting point. Thoughts?
