Problem with a Fireblade dash conversion on a VFR800FI

Niels

Question

Hello,

I’m Niels, living in the Netherlands and building a VFR street fighter.

Now i have a problem and hopely you can help me guys!

I’m now have a fireblade 2004/2005 dash (speedometer, tacho, etc.) on my VFR800FI 1999.

Everything is working accept my tripmeter/odometer.

He only shows lines instead of the mileage. See picture.

What could be the problem?

Are there people who have running the same dash on his VFR?

Thank you in advance!

With kinds regards,

Niels

Is this a new dash, or a used one?  AFAIK, the mileage is stored onboard the instrument panel, not in the PGM-FI module, so maybe it need some kind of initialisation?

Ciao,

It is a used dash.

I have searched everywhere on the internet but I can not find anything about it, I would not know if an initialisation is needed

Maybe having a look at the fireblade wiring diagram and comparing it to the vfr will give a clue...

I've had both wiring diagrams next to each other to connect everything, and everything is well connected so I do not know where the problem is

Also read the correct speed ?

The speedometer is working but does not show the right speed.
He has a deviation, but I can fix this with a speedohealer.
