steve93
So I went to my local Honda dealer to order a fuel petcock for my '93, only to be told they are discontinued... Being in Canada, they were able to search the Canadian dealers' inventory and found none. Not a big surprise. Any chance you can still get one in the US? I could get a used one but I don't want a problem with more old, dried-out seals. Thanks in advance for any help or advice you can provide! Member Contributer JZH Posted October 14, 2017 Member Contributer Share Posted October 14, 2017 And in Europe. There's one on eBay US for $195. Rebuild time... Ciao,
750
Just remove it. leave it permanently on reserve (the arrow points up, I believe) and ride. It's a daft, useless thing anyway.
Member Contributer JZH Posted October 16, 2017 Member Contributer Share Posted October 16, 2017 Unless it's leaking on Reserve... US-spec petcocks only use two positions: Off and Reserve. Rebuilding isn't too difficult. Ciao,
bdouvill
I noticed mine is leaking a little bit when in Off position. Will order a rebuild kit from NRP and try not to forget to take pictures of the rebuild.
