gunn799 Posted October 7, 2017 Share Posted October 7, 2017 I bought them but haven't installed yet. Just wondering if anyone has used these with positive results. There are 2 objectives here, the first obviously getting rid of the stock tensioners, and the other is to cure the rattle caused by failed tensioner(s). Interestingly enough, my recent oil change with Amsoil Metric 10w40 seemed to help quite a bit with the rattle. Member Contributer Terry Posted October 8, 2017 Member Contributer Share Posted October 8, 2017 I've got APE brand manual CCTs in my VTR1000F, on that bike these are a compulsory acquisition as failure is sudden and deadly to the valves.
