Why do some VFRs have adjustment on forks and some don't ?

Upon buying a 2004 VFR I have noticed that some of the other VFRs for sale on eBay and the likes do not have any adjustment screws on the top of the forks.

Many have black blanking caps and no adjustment seem possible.

Why is this ?

If you look a bit closer, the other difference in the pics is that those with no adjustment have raised handlebars.  The cap that goes with them covers the adjusters.

Raised handlebars ?
Is that a factory option on some VFRs ?
Or previous owner modification ?
Adjusters hidden under caps ?

It's an option on the latest model.  This model you have the aftermarket option, put on by previous owners.adjusters under caps. Great idea.

All 6G VFR's have preload adjusters only on the forks. If you want to add damping adjustments that is also possible with some mix and match parts from say a CBR600F4, or cartridge inserts from the likes of Daugherty Motorsports.
