Squeezed out of lane twice in 3 minutes

If you get frustrated and lose your cool that easily while riding - then perhaps motorcycles aren't for you.  Your rush to get ahead of the car nearly resulted in a head on collision with another biker when you made the illegal pass.  Sorry Fink, but that was a fail.  I'd recommend you stick to posting soft porn on your YT channel - you're clearly much more talented at that than riding a bike.

Go go and look at the footage again you can clearly see the oncoming bikes headlight.  There was no rush to get ahead of car, the overtake was carefully planned and executed correctly according to that plan.

At which point did did I appear to get frustrated and lose my cool?   The pips of horn were not aggressive.

Btw you still haven't told us how long you have been riding.   Maybe I should sit down and watch your recent trip postings then do a critique.  Then again why waste my time.

Well wasted a few mins watching the vid you posted here.

Your land and discipline is atrocious, why swap from lane to lane when you don't need to?

Your cornering technique is all wrong.  Your positioning for bends is all wrong which will affect everything else, should you have to make an evasive manoeuvre.  If the roads were any tighter you would stand a good chance of becoming a hood ornament.

This is how to take bends properly.  Enjoy.

Sorry, but there is nothing particularly enlightening or twisty about that either. Judging lines on public roads always seemed presumptuous to me. I have an ideal line in my mind when I ride, but road conditions play a role. I won't ride over patches or pot holes just because they are in the technically proper line.

Yup it's not twisty there are a few 90 degree bends and a few more a lot less. It looks a lot easier to ride then it actually is .

it's all about being in the correct position that will allow you maximum forward vision and be able to plan what you are going to do as you approach the next hazard as opposed to being in the incorrect position where your forward vision is reduced and you have to react to what is happening ahead. Yes ,you do sacrifice your position for safety ( i.e. Pot holes, overbanding) Just as you alter speed for same.

Thanks Fink, but that's just an awful video - I turned it off after 30 sec cuz they're all riding on the wrong side of the road!     I'm actually a very safe rider and driver - it even says so right on my Fla license - LOL!  It has been many years since my license was suspended for 30 days (due to too many speeding tix in 1 year).  I can't even remember the last time I got a ticket and I've never been in a motorcycle or auto accident.

Not to brag, but I was the only person in my 3 day motorcycle safety course to get a perfect score on either the riding or written tests and I got perfect scores on both.   The class included several folks who had many years of riding experience who had moved to Fla from out of state.   In fact I think I will try my hand at producing a safe riding technique video (instead of my usual joyriding vids) as a public service.  You could definitely learn a few things (like not crossing a solid line lane divider to make an illegal pass into oncoming traffic)

For track riding - I would highly recommend this video by Smoke and Mirrors over the track day vids on your YT channel.  Unlike you, he is actually capable of making a pass

I didn't think they allowed nude breasts on YT but maybe they don't care since no one watches your channel

Haha your post was brilliant, but this pushed me over the edge

Yep, I haven't been able to ride in a couple of weeks; guess I'm feeling a little snarky.

I had avoided posting on this thread too, dammit. The whole "I got squeezed"/"no you didn't, your riding just sucks" is kinda silly. Action cams distort speed and perspective so badly, who can know. It doesn't look close on video, but I wasn't there.

I also understand the proper line, but at the speed in any of the videos shown on this thread, the line taken isn't critical. Certainly not worth the drama of insinuating death and dismemberment is imminent.

Oh for heavens sake don't do that. The laps of Disneyland are enough stick to the tea cups though.

Your choice to watch or not.  Congratulation on the full marks pass.  I tried an online Florida bike licence test and got full marks too.  I'm not even in your country. .

No pass into oncoming traffic. You need to work on your observational skills. Haven't done track riding for years dude so no need to have a go at that. At least I've tried it which is more than can be said for yourself.

You wonder why Rossi et al  don't just retire as Priscilla is queen of the track and twisties.

OK, I'll use an anecdote.

The other day I went to the doctor. I said "Doc, I'd like you to take a look at my Johnson."

Subsequent to inspection he said "Why there's nothing wrong with your Johnson whatsoever."

To which I replied "I know, but ISN'T IT A F@¢%€N BEAUTY!!"

After watching your track day vid of you getting passed by everybody and his uncle I can see why you quit    I've made the same number of track day passes as you did in that vid (zero) and I've never even been to the track - LMAO!   The only passing you excel at is of the illegal variety across a solid line into oncoming traffic

First loses, then what what happens second?

Oh, and check your local laws with regards to the interpretation of lane markings.

My Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices says it is meant to discourage but not prohibit crossing.

Your mileage may vary!

Haven't read any of the other replies (topic has probably changed since OP), but seriously? Both vehicles started to merge lanes well before you were even close to them. The truck certainly had his indicator on. Not sure about the CRV.

Change the record dude.  Yes it was across a solid line but it wasn't illegal.  From your definition of squeezing  then it would be into oncoming traffic as it was several hundred m away when I did overtake,  but from mine there was plenty of time.

It is to Priscilla........

She is sensitive though, apparently a soccer mom shouted at her once, but that's another thread.

That's great that you got a perfect score on the written test Fink.  It's too bad you didn't fare as well on the actual riding portion of the test - I found a video of it below
