Member Contributer vishwo707 Posted May 23, 2017 Member Contributer Share Posted May 23, 2017 Hi there, can anybody tell the what sort of bolt goes on plastic chain guard cover on the back side? i dont know if i have misplaced it or it wasn't there. in any case, the cover seems bit loose and this is the only one left. it is on the back side of the cover so bit hard to get to. i hope i have explained it properly. regards Vish
Member Contributer Duc2V4 Posted May 23, 2017 Member Contributer Share Posted May 23, 2017 They're called Pan Head screws and are 6mm x 1.0 thread pitch. Although I'm sure you can source it somewhere other than Honda, I've had a hard time finding an exact replacement but if you're not picky I'm sure a nice Allen head bolt and a fender washer would work. http://www.partzilla.com/parts/detail/honda/HP-90106-KY2-701.html
Loftust
~ 11mm long too. Slightly longer is ok as they only go into the swingarm.
Member Contributer sfdownhill Posted May 23, 2017 Member Contributer Share Posted May 23, 2017 Sounds like you are asking about the plastic trim clips Honda calls 'clip, drive chain case'. The 6th gen requires two of these. They are part number 90684-MBG-003 shown here as #18: http://www.partzilla.com/parts/search/Honda/Motorcycle/2004/VFR800+AC/SWINGARM/parts.html
