Recommendations for wreckers.

Hi all,

I have been a long time lurker and i can't recall if i have ever posted.

I'm way down under in Melbourne Australia and I'm keen to swap my 3rd gen vfr750's front forks to a vtr1000. I am doing this to get better braking and will upgrade the inner components to get better suspension performance. if i can do this i will swap my rear shock. I have started searching for second hand forks without muck luck.

Can anyone recommend an American wrecker (it's what we call it) who may send to Australia?

Thanks in advance.

Check the classifieds for your Firestorm fork (or 4th Gen for that matter) internals to be upgraded...

I once fitted CBR600 forks (it had rebound valves) but can't say I noticed much, so if the Firestorm allows better brake calipers, then that may be worth the hassle.

I always felt my 4th gen brakes were adequate.....  that is until I used the brakes on my SP2......

Found some on a Dutch site that has "breakers"

https://www.motorparts-online.com/en/honda/vtr-1000-f/1997-2006/front-pipes/201236094

https://www.motorparts-online.com/en/honda/vtr-1000-f/1997-2006/front-pipes-complete/201115366

Shipping might be silly expensive to ship them assembled.....

Or Dutch "Ebay"

This is the asking price, one can always offer less

Shipping; max size using Dutch postal is 100x50x50cm

If the seller will drain the oil and take the springs out (so the lot "collapses") abd put them separate it might just fit
