kentguy55
Anyone got any idea why my tacho has stopped working please? I have a 2000 Fi-Y and live in the UK. Before anyone says I do not beleive it is an R/R problem as it did not do the usual fluttering as people say, it was just working one day and not the next. Member Contributer JZH Posted September 26, 2016 Member Contributer Share Posted September 26, 2016 Could be the printed circuit traces on the back of the clocks corroding. They can be fixed by soldering jumper wires around the corroded parts. Not pretty, but it works! Ciao,
Member Contributer zoomzoom Posted October 4, 2016 Member Contributer Share Posted October 4, 2016 Check out this post from over on VFRWorld. I remembered reading about this a while back when I was helping a friend who rebuilt a 98. His issue turned out to be a crack in the flexible PCB board caused by a broken mounting post. Might prove helpful though. http://vfrworld.com/forums/showthread.php/39032-VFR800-5th-gen-no-tach-or-multi-panel
