Kanderson1560
I took off the bearing holder pinch bolt and I took the pin spanner and turned it clockwise or counter clockwise to try and tighten it by following the instructions I found online from the manual and it will not tighten at all. This bike is becoming a huge headache for me if anyone knows how to help this it will be greatly appreciated.
Member Contributer Cogswell Posted March 26, 2016 Member Contributer Share Posted March 26, 2016 Do you mean that the eccentric will not turn with the spanner, or that when you do turn it the chain doesn't tighten up? If the latter, it's probably time for a new chain.

Member Contributer RollinAgain Posted March 26, 2016 Member Contributer Share Posted March 26, 2016 You might be able to take a flat headed screwdriver and put it's blade against one of the teeth on the eccentric adjuster and give it a whack with a mallet or hammer. Member Contributer Cogswell Posted March 26, 2016 Member Contributer Share Posted March 26, 2016 This thread with some recent posts (today) might be helpful to visualize how it goes together. http://www.vfrdiscussion.com/forum/index.php/topic/26-rear-axle-and-bearing-inspection/ Some penetrating oil and maybe tapping gently on the spanner will help work it loose.
