Every year for 12 years there is a local bike club that organize a ride, Ironworks round, on mostly nice roads not far from where I live. The funds they get from it is usually given for a good thing, like last year to a children cancer hospital. The route go past old Iron works, thats where the name become from. From beginning the round was named the 8 Ironworks round, but to make the ride a bit different every year, they have shorten the name and made so no all ironworks are visited every year. I think this year only 4 of the 8 was ridden past, but only 2 of them where check points. This year the round did cost 25€, witch gives you a T-Skirt, the map, a sticker and a meal (pea soup this year) + coffee at the end of the ride.

I did wake up to rain today, but fortunally the rain ended just after I got up, and a few hours later the sun started to shine. Time to roll out the VF500, here just before heading towards the startplace, ½ hour ride from my home.

There was not that mutch tarffic as I did arrive.

And so we did sign up and headed to the route. The rideing was so fun actually, so first stop to take camera out was first fuel stop in Pohja, some 6km before the third chackponit at Fiskars, that is a old Ironwork. That checkpoit is ~90km from start.

There my VF500 and the friends Aprilia at the Fuel stop, where we had a coffee also

The the journey did continue, and whit sun shining, we did just stop in checkpoints to get the card marked and off we went until lats checkpoint before finish, Bromarv (~180km behind), witch is actually just a old village, a fishing mans place, nowdays more a holiday place

After a brake and getting some warm again it was time to head back to the same spot we did start form, and fortunaly same awesome road back as Bromarv is in a dead end of a road. I call that 18km my local Green Hell, if you know what I mean you know what the road is like :tour::wheel:

So we finally came back, some 215km and 4 h from the start. And like I did say, time for pea soup!
