It's actually ride # 3 :)

I've never hit Rt.128, or 116 so I'm game for either over the original.

To get the most possible riders, I suggest a modification that allows for a short 3+ hour route with a longer route as an option after lunch. That's sorta what worked out anyway this last time.

I was thinking Brian Farleigh was going to get the Marin north run after the 17th. Maybe we can do a Calistoga/Berryessa run with a Marin option this time and a Marin/Fort Bragg ride with a Berryessa option after the 17th. Just pondering. I'm probably up for whatever this time.

So one thing we could do, is on the long route once we hit Calistoga or windsor, that can be the end of the short route, then we can continue on over Skaggs road to the coast.

From what it sounded like, Brian doesn't really want to host/plan out the ride, but he would like to join us.

We can always decide once we stop for lunch in Calistoga and see how far we want to go. And we don't have to ride all the way down the coast either, we can cut back in at Petaluma or something.

Whatever people want to do though. I don't care either way.

I would start from Cordilia starbucks off of I 80 and leave by 8:30.
This seems hella early but it's not. Not for this ride durring this time of year.
When the weather starts warming up, you get all of the "flat bills" with their big trucks towing boats and trailers.
Every main road going to the lake from I 80 or from Napa is going to be packed with them.
Really hard and dangerous to try and pass on those roads.
Come fall and winter time, 9:30-10:00 is a good start time. But not now.
Trust me.
Tj.

Wouldn't the Napa start location at 8:30a be even better?

If you want a place in Napa I suggest the Starbucks on Redwood Rd which crosses 29 https://maps.google....511719850226377 . For those coming north on 29 simply take the Trancas exit and go left at the light on Trancas/Redwood Rd and then again left at the next light turn right into the parking lot Starbucks is there and gas is across the street.
I work in Napa at a local High School so if I can be of service let me know

Just road the Eastern portion of the road today and it was awesome. around Berryessa and up to Windsor.

So does everyone want to change it to 8:30? and would that be meet at 8:30 KSU at 9? or meet at 8 and KSU by 8:30?

I really am new to California, and I don't know the roads, so I will let you fine folks pick the ride. I like the idea of meeting at 8 with KSU at 8:30. I live in Walnut Creek if it matters.

Looking forward to it!
