This last weekend I began my first leg of my epic ride. I rode from Ventura County to Marin County, and met up with some of my fellow VFR's! Now my mom always told me that people I met off the internet would be up to no good, but I sure am glad I didn't follow her advice. I met up with TC339, RC46CruiseControl, and BayAreaRider and just had a blast! Boys, I was smart enough not to take any pics of the group once we met up, so please post your pics here.

The origins of my trip can be read here http://www.vfrdiscus...-or-just-silly/ and some of the planning info can be found here http://www.vfrdiscus...-bay-area-ride/ . In an effort not to repeat myself, I'm going to jump in the details of the trip.

The plan was to leave Thursday night with mk2davis from his work, and ride up to Morro Bay. Friday, we'd go from Morro Bay to Monterey. Saturday is the day I'd meet up with TC and the rest of the group in Marin County, and go for a group ride. Sunday, sadly, would be the day for mk2davis to return home.

Thursdays ride would take me from the 101 to the 150 and back to the 101 the rest of they way to Morro Bay. Some of the views off the 150 were breath taking.

Back on the 101, I made a new friend . . .

The view wasn't bad either.

The ride on Friday took us through Big Sur. It was not warm, and it really overcast the whole way up.

Once we got to Monterey, we took a time out and went to the aquarium. Things got outta hand!

and I got a really bad case of the crabs.

Back on the road, I met up with the boys at Vista Point just on the north side of the Golden Gate Bridge. This is my last relevent pic, so I'll need some help completing the story.

So not much has happened with CeeCee lately. She is still in my possession, but I am leaving Monday for my first epic 5000 mile trip. I will be going up the coast from California through Oregon, and Washington. Ill be in Vancouver for a few days then headed east through Jasper and Banff, then down through Montana, Wyoming, and then Idaho and back.

Anyone want to take her off my hand and move her to the next point?

Is CeeCee going to be near Radar or any of the Canuks heading to SumSum? Seems like a great opportunity to send her to new geography. Could she make Arkansas in Sept?

Let's get on this folks. It would be great if she could make her was to NJ and a particular TheCop. Could be a mateing opportunity with a particular White Monkey (does it have a name Timmy?). Who knows; we might get a RWB monkey offspring. Any Blue Monkeys out there? Menage a threesome?

I'll be heading down I5 and up 101 this coming week, then on to AK via the ferry. Does CeeCee want to go to Deadhorse?

Catch is, it'll be on a V-Strom.

Kind of reminds me of the Oregon coast. You can barely see my bike in this picture, but it's there.

I've been on 101, too. You don't see tsunami evacuation routes very often (at least I don't). This was also taken in Oregon.
