45 here (just). 2 years riding in England (17,18) and then restarted when I turned 42. Love the VFR for being good at a lot of things but really just learning how good it really is!

To help you with your wife, I'm 67 and bought my 1st road bike in 1965 and have been riding for 47 years, give or take a few when I was stationed overseas.

Wow. I thought I was on the "old" side of things (I turn 42 in a week or so) and here you have been riding longer than I have been alive.

21, riding 3 years. VFR can really be an "any age" bike in my opinion. Hell my dad has one (same gen, off by a year) and he's clearly much older than me.

I find it's fun to put things in perspective, my Son's 5 years older than you.

Shame on you. But beware: once you get on you never want to get off.

40.

However I was a late starter - didn't learn how to ride until 2008, and have been doing my best to make up for lost time. Since getting my license mid season in 2008 I have put on over 70,000 kilometers. Last year accounted for 40,000 of those.

If I didn't have a six month parking season I'd likely have a lot more distance on the bike by now.
