Exactly a year ago Elka suspension was introducing their shocks to market for 5th and 6th Gens VFRs. That Group Buy was a success and everyone that participated got superb shocks at a bargain pricing.

The year came and went and we are coming into Holiday season. Country is in recession and $$$ are tight. So, we decided to offer you guys what we would like to call a recession proof anti-crisis pricing that is even lower then before. Here is your opportunity to pimp up your ride tremedously, get yourself a gift and at the same time save some money.

Due to an agreement with Elka Suspension we cannot post pricing but I am attaching a link to a previous Group Buy. All I can say is that pricing for this Group Buy will be even lower then before.

Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. Here is the link to a previously successful Elka Group Buy

P.S. Moderators, I got Ok from HispanicSlammer on this one

Just to clarify, is there a minimum number required? Should we just order with "VFRD" as a note? and how long do we have? I need to do the math to ensure I'm getting the right setup.

We need 10 buyers as a minimum. Once we reach 10 takers I will provide you with a coupon code and will expect the payment. Once all payments will be received everything will be processed. Turn around time will be about 3 weeks from the last payment

I already own a Fox, a Works Performance, and 2 Ohlins shocks. I would like to put a 3-way adjustable shock on my VFR(to add Compression adjustment), but I just can't justify the expense right now - even if I factor in the resale of the Ohlins currently installed. :(

MotoWorld's pricing is about $70 less than the everyday price at Newman Racing!

What??? None of your current shocks are even 2-way adjustable then!
2-way is basically Comp. & Rebound adjust, 3-way usually adds high & low speed comp. adjustments.
Those Ohlins Vtec shocks they sold w/o a remote reservoir are basically 1-way adjust(rebound)

My Fox, Ohlins & Penske are all 2-way adjustable w/ comp. & rebound. :fing02:
All had ride height adjustments also.

The Fox is 2-way(Fox Twin Clicker) has ride height, rebound & remote compression. The Ohlins on the F4i is also 2-way(46PRXLS), has ride height, rebound, and attached res. w/ compression. The Works on the VF is rebound only, and the Ohlins on the VTEC is rebound only(but does have remote hydr. preload).

Must be why the VTEC goes so slow through turns. ;) :goofy:

I was actually trying to see if I had the money to get a Penske 3-way for the VTEC the day before this thread came up, but it's not gonna happen. Even if I get $4-450 for my existing shock, I'd still have to lay out over $500 to get the Penske shipped to me. :(

That better? Could be that I meant I didn't have any comp. adjust, and wanted to go all out if anything at all? Your statement wasn't entirely correct either, I have (2) 2 way adjustable shocks, and 2 that aren't.

Really has nothing to do with an elka group buy though! :goofy:

3 way refers to high and low speed compression and rebound.

2 way refers to compression and rebound only.

Pre-load isn't typically referred to as a "way" hence, I think, the confusion between you two. :warranty:

I bought and installed a 3 way Elka on my previous RC51. Highly recommended.

If I didn't all ready have a wilbers 3 way on my RCBVFR, I'd be on the list.

oh and in regards to my red spring question I called Elka today. First off they confirmed the spring rates that I was thinking about and they also stated that if you want a red spring just ask for it. They use the blue which I think is theirs and the red is an Eibach spring.

Hello,

I come from the other site and am very interested in getting an Elka shock. There would only be three names, though. Is it possible that this will go through, or should I just order it from Newmansuspension? Newman has the elkas starting at $749.

Thanks,

Jaime

Jaime,

I am not sure what site you came from but my everyday price starts way below Newman Suspension $749. Its clearly marked on my website that in order to play by manufacturer's rules on should get in touch with me to receive info about the pricing.

I cannot do a group buy unless I get 10 takers. Group buy price is substantially lower then my everyday low price. One can get an idea about pricing by looking up a previous Group Buy. This time prices will be even lower.

Thanks

I'm a little short right now (6'1"), so why don't you spot me the $$. I'm good for it. Really. Honest. Eventually.

Can you post a ball park price for a 3way, if not I understand.

Sorry I cannot post price in the open. You can get the idea if you refer to the last year Group Buy pricing. This one os going to be even lower

Thanks

I would love to get an Elka shock but I cannot justify 600+ bones on one. I am just going to get a 929 shock and send it away to Jamie. Then I can afford to get my forks done too!

I hear ya. The 6th Gen is the most perfect bike for me, the only compliant I have ever had was that Honda dropped the ball with the suspension, at least for my weight. In my eyes, once I get the suspension done as best as I can then it will finally be a finished bike. My baby is still fairly new, she deserves the best I can put on it, within reason of course. My rear end is so squirrelly, can't wait to make that go away.

Well... I guess it's safe to say that this isn't going to happen. Ah well, thanks for the offer anyway MotoWorld. Either way I'm doing my suspension before the spring.

Guys it looks as though it might not work out but if 2 of you are serious I can (hopefully) tag you guys to the other group buys. Its been difficult this year so don't despair yet.

In meantime if anyone is seriously considering improving your suspension, please add your name to the list

Thanks
Vlad

Rejoice guys! I spoked to Elka Suspension and they are OK, if I combine different makes, as long as we get 10 buyers. Based on the Group Buys that I have going, if I get everyone to pay up right away, we should get 10 for sure. So, if you definitely want to get this superb shock here is what you got to do.

Go to my website MotoWorldOnline.com and slect the shock that you want. Obviously answer all questions. During checkout yo will have an option to enter a coupon. Please enter 'SUPERELKA' (wo/quotes) and press GO. You will see your peromised discount. Proceed to checkout. The last page of the checkout has a comments section. You can add any additional information that you think might be useful for setting upi yuor shock. So, let get the payments flowing. If everyone pays up quick I am hoping to get these shocks out to you before the end of the year.

So, get those credit cards out and start buying :) :+1:

Come on guys don't hesitate. You will be very pleased with a final result. It an awesome upgrade

Almost forgot. Please make sure to specify your forum name in the comments section so I would know who have paid up
