Bc Riders Heading To Seattle I might be able to help plan routes in this area

I like both rides so usually make a loop whenever I go to Winthrop. My house in Duvall to Winthrop and back is just over 400 miles, one tank of gas each way.

choco this was the planned rout for jun13-14 overnight stay in Leavenworth

You might want to look for this place since you will be driving by it. It's a nice stop on the Rainier loop just west of Yakima on Highway 410.

I might meet you in Leavenworth in the morning. Still pondering it.

So If I decide to meet you in Leavenworth, what day, Sunday? what time in the morning? Leavenworth is about an hour and a half ride from my house.

I also heard a rumour that 15kms of the road west of Winthrop is being repaved and it is all gravel right now. Anyone confirm this?

Just rode that loop and the roads were in great shape, not sure where you got the rumor, best to check with Winthrop Authorities I suppose. WSDOT should have info as well.

I think this could happen. It's only Monday, but I'll be checking on the weather forecasts and will most likely join you if decent weather. I may have fellow riders, not sure yet.

I would most likely meet you on the other side of the border since I am a snobby Nexus pass holder. I live in White Rock so it is quick and easy for me to get across the border here.
Choco, when did you ride hwy 20 last?

Read on PNW Riders that chip sealing was being done on Hwy-20 and the road was limited to one lane at times. Good news is that the sealing was said to be done during the week - not on weekends.

I used to be a VERY active poster on BCSB but had enough. It turned itself into a internet community and not a riding community. vrombc.com is just that, a riding community. I also put a private board on there so no internet randoms show up to the bigger rides. However, it is really easy to get into the private board! haha. I will tell you about when we meet up.
So far three VFR riders are in for Saturday.

It was truly my pleasure to meet all of you (and see you again, Randy) and as the saying goes, we'll have to do it again some time!
Total mileage for me was 812 (518 on Sat., 294 today). Canadian conversion = 1307 km total, 833 Sat, 473 Sun)

Obligatory shot of all the bikes. Come on it's cool!

Monica head butting Paul (I'm serious!) in the first of MANY candid shots.

Apparently some VFR riders ride two abreast?

Quick stop at Diablo Dam

We couldn't find a room at the Kwality Inn so this room will have to do.

What European town doesn't have mountain goats? Robert?

This picture doesn't do Leavenworth justice! Just try to imagine the street Oompa band in the distance.

Can anyone explaine HOREhound candy? ANYONE!

At all times there is an Oompa band playing in the street. It must be in the town charter.

And what trip to Leavenworth be without giant jugs.... of BEER!

one PLATTER coming right up. Pig Shoulder, Half Chicken, Schitznel, beets, sauerkraut, saugsage...

There are videos of this... Paul will have them posted on youtube soon...

We did our best.... but the platter was too huge...

Good times, I'd post pictures if someone will tell me how to retrieve them from my pictures and post.
Until next time. Still waiting to hear from Jeff and friends who left Duvall and were heading up to Monroe to Highway 2, then west to 9 and north from there.
