Ok, what gives? I have about 1400 miles on these tires, and I'm dreading each ride to work. A buzz started about 300 miles ago, now it's a full-fledged wobble. I'm guessing its the tires. FWIW, I've had the PR, PP with great success. Heck, even the stock Bstones were better than this. :pissed:

Can you notice any unusual wear patterns in either or both tires ?

Well, they are Dunlops...

I know your bike is new - did you do, or have done for you, the 600 mile service? One of the more important things the shop is supposed to do during that service is re-set and retorque the steering head bearings.

I put mine on about 3,000 mile ago. But due to the fact I've got the older bike and older rider I don't get that buzz.....

The bike's been through all recommended services (600, 4K and 8K) (over 9k on the clock), but I'll check and confirm. I thought about the bearings too, but figured the tires were the simpler answer. Loose bearings would be just wonderful. . ..

And, for the folks playing at home, the buzz/wobble is most obvious riding straight line, not banked, where the ride seems to settle. Also, most pronounced at highway speeds, on or off throttle, clutch engaged or disengaged.

Commuting in today's storm with this setup was an experience.

I've tried several different tire manufacturers, and I find the Dunlops to be pretty good tires overall. (Stop staring at my chicken strips!)

I've given up on Dunlops myself after my bad experiences with the 207s and 208s.
IMO, any of Michelin's Pilot model tires would be a big improvement over........cup-happy, no good, Dumplops!

I destroy the qualifiers. 1800 miles tops. Always keep good tire pressure and they will hold up a little better but they are soft and burn up quick

Me too and will NEVER put dulops back on my bike, Cupping, headshake and poor mileage is enough!

Agreed, I am running some Metzlers M1 on the front and M3 on the rear, full track day yesterday with no problems and no chicken stips :). Leaving tomorrow for Utah with the same tires and guess what...no head shake .....
NACA airfoils are still used on modern aircraft, up to the state of the art F-22 Raptor jet fighter.

I havent had a problem with these tires but the rear does not last at all and all I do is city/highway miles. I only did 6300 miles this year and I had the rear on for maybe a little over half that.

Do you have the OEM qualifiers or the aftermarket ones? A guy on my cbr forum bought some and they ended up being the oem ones. He said they didnt grip for nothing.
