I decided to enjoy a day off and celebrate it with a sunset ride to the beach, which is about 10 minutes ride from my home. The pictures I took is at a place called Blaauwberg Beach overlooking table bay towards Cape Town. Just to the west on the horizon lies Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was jailed for 26 years. Robben Island can be seen as the sun sets with my trusty VFR in the foreground!

African seaside Typical African seaside traders for the tourists to Cape Town. In the surf you can see the stricken Seli 1 rusting away with Cape Town City across the bay.

Beautiful sunshine. No wind. Perfect day for the beach. I went on a short drive to Table View, across the bay from Cape Town City. It's a very popular beach and it was packed! A friend of mine runs a icecream truck and sells icecream over weekends. Truly the most amazing scenery! Cape Town South Africa has some of the most beautiful roads in the country.
