Socal Overnighter Part Two - Trailers, Choppers, And Traffic, Oh My! (Pic Heavy) Eyes won’t focus.
Trailers won’t pull over.
No reception on Lockwood.
Two hours lost.

The End.

Just kidding. :pinocchio:

Leaving Solvang, Zenkai wanted to get in a ride since that was the point of the weekend, and after 2 days of wondering if there’s a way to mold the shoulders onto the center of the tire...

Socal Overnighter Part One - Pre-Ride Report (No Riding. Pic Heavy.) Hans Zimmer wrote a song about bad eggs, but I think he was referring to the one-eyed hook-handed parrot loving kind, not the stuck-on-the-bog-for-two-days-instead-of-riding kind.

As stated in the title, there's no actual riding here, so if you want to skip ahead, here's Part 2: http://www.vfrdiscus.../index.php/b...

100 Mile Donut - It's That Time Of Year Again. Not really a ride, but since these things have gained so much attention on the forum, I figured I'd do a quick write up.

Yes folks, it's that time of year again: STRAWBERRY SEASON!!! :woohoo: And it's time to go up a boring stretch of freeway and down a not-so-impressive section of history Route 66 to end up in a narrow parking lot with unev...

1 Year, 0 Blogs, And Countless Rides Unreported (Very Pic Heavy) So how long has it been? Over a year it seems. Almost feels futile to attempt a proper report at this point, but I suppose I should at least try seeing as how I'm on vacation and have nothing else to do except ride then write about it. The picture to the left is from a ride I took with a few students down to San Diego to visit Balboa Park. Af...

Vfrd In Palomar And Duc2V4 In Jagerhaus.

Vfrd In Palomar And Duc2V4 In Jagerhaus. Halloween blew by like a cheap taffeta dress covered in trashy make-up and discount booze. I didn't see so many costumes as I did outfits suitable for runways which encourage dollar bill insertion. It's a wonder to me why people feel compelled to abandon their self-respect on this pseudo-holiday and run around shaming their families.

But then...

Square Pies, Mountain Roads, and MSF You know that old joke about a kid learning Geometry and argues the formula Pi*r^2 (Pi r squared)? The kids says, "Pies aren't square!"

*play laugh track*

Yeah well, pies typically aren't squared, unless you pack them up freshly baked and then go tearing about on very tight mountain roads.

I rode into Julian today to pick up a...

Victory at Laguna Seca - Cancer Undone (and other stories - PIC HEAVY)

Posted by Recalcitrance, 20 August 2012 - - - - - - · 2001 views

Victory at Laguna Seca - Cancer Undone (and other stories - PIC HEAVY) Last year, Laguna Seca was a desperate act of fulfillment. The ride up the coast was more of a race against an internal beast which couldn't be seen but so horribly felt. The Corkscrew was an indomitable feat that monstered us. It was all so familiar but suddenly so overwhelming. What was a yearly tradition became, just this one time, a nightmare...
