I just drove back from Rockhampton two weeks ago. I was on "works" time so I had the company car. I have riden to Rockhampton before so I know what your saying with the Nomads.
Agnes Waters is a great place I camped at the Town of 1770 a few years ago and had a ball (except for the 125mm of rain one night that flooded out the tent) great fishing too.
