Ride out to Hermanus

I didn't get much time off during the festive season this year (non at all actually) so I had to wait for a public holiday to take my VFR out for a nice ride! December 27 I took my baby out from Cape Town, through Gordon's Bay and Rooi Els to the beautiful town of Hermanus to see some family. My wife followed in the car and failed miserably trying to keep up! Shame. The road between Gordon's Bay and Rooi Els is one of the most scenic coastal mountain rides in the Western Cape and there are LOTS of corners and long sweeps to get your knee down. It stretches all along the coast with the ocean on one side and the mountain on the other side for about 30 km. Absolute bliss! Sorry I didn't take too many pics as I was having too much fun and had to force myself to stop every now and then for a photo. A great day indeed!
